Thrifty Finds....

It's been awhile since I have went to Goodwill or any Garage sales, so a few weeks ago we stopped in at Goodwill and of course I couldn't leave empty handed. I saved the best find for last so keep reading :) I found the above pillow for $1.99, it always makes me a little nervous buying pillows but I couldn't pass up the toile.

I found this big frame for .99 and have already started revamping it, Can't wait to show you!!

The porch post thingys were .49 each, and the books .99 for both. I couldn't pass up the finial things as I know I will come up with something for them.

Also got the little wooden frame for .99

This was 1.99, I loveeee these things!! There cute just sittin around and they are also great for hand soap or dish soap.

I had to get the big chunky candle holder for 2.99 as I have it's twin. The little mirrors were .49 each.

The bowl filler stuff was marked down to 2.99, this will be great for fall :)

Had to share these, I got 20 tubs of pampers wipes with coupons for .17 a tub!!! I love getting deals on these as we go through them like crazy.

My favorite find is this little table. Actually it's not my find, my sweet husband knows how I love my Goodwill junk and was in the area one day and stopped in and bought me this. It was $3!!! I love picturing him in Goodwill ( totally not his thing ) picking out some sad little piece for me to redo. It's great. He's great.

As you can see, she was in pretty bad shape.

Not anymore....This was actually a pretty eaasy makeover. I did it all while watching the Bears play their first preseason game, Sadly they lost. :(  I wanted pretty aqua color so I mixed some blue I had with some antique white paint until I got the color I wanted. These pictures are awful, I took them at night and it doesn't go so well up against my shiny red walls.

I used a little minwax stain after some sanding. I'm not so good at that technique but all in all I think it turned out great. One of my favorite makeovers.

I love it A Lot. I love this blue.

It's got a little opening on the side to store crap even.

A Goodwill clock from Drab to Fab!!

 Please forgive the messy blog, the other night while messing around with the HTML I completely lost hours upon hours of work and though I was smart enough to save a backup copy sadly it was a save from a long while back so this is how she will be until I can pay to have her made over :)

I love doing these kind of makeovers, taking something outdated and hideous and making it fabulous with just a little paint and pretty scrapbook paper. It's amazing what you can do!!!

I purchased the clock at Goodwill for a few dollars, I have done several clock makeovers similar but this is by far my favorite!! 

All I did was paint her black, distress the edges ( of course ), add some scrapbook paper and voila, she's so pretty!!! I love love love this scrapbook paper!!

To this!!!! I Love it!! So for a few dollars ( already had the other supplies ) at goodwill I have a Beautiful new clock!!

A few Garage sale finds...

Well it's coming to a close of Garage Sale season and this will be the last week for Thrifty Treasures over at Rhodas blog Southern Hospitality. Soooo very sad!!! I will miss it and can't wait for it next year! Go stop over and see everyone's Wonderful finds here.

My Gramma called this morning and told us of a HUGE garage sale, so we dropped everything and got in the car and went, ok not really but we eventually made our way there. It was definitely HUGE. It was sad though, the husbands wife had just passed away and they were selling just about everything so he could get a smaller place. There was soooooo many family members there, I felt so weird walking through the house and picking things out. She passed away not even a week ago and the old man wanted it gone. They were all sooo nice. The woman liked to craft, and she saved everything and had a little of everything. The prices were good too, I made hubby ask if they would take less on something and they did, and We/I've neverrrrrrr done that. They are having it again in 2 weeks and I want to go back. There was tons of stuff in every room.

This cute little fall centerpiece was $2, I think it will look Great with one of my pumpkin candles!

A large bag of these for $1, these will be fun to use for something or just fill up a cute jar with them.

A 5ft Christmas tree for the yard, I got this for my gramps, He always decorates the front for Christmas. They had TONS of Christmas decorations.

I got this light for our hallway. $1

A few of these frames at .50 a piece.

I don't know what it is, but this is one of my fave finds. It was .50. I love it as is. It's bright yellow, I know but I am getting to where I paint EVERYTHING white or black and need pops of different colors throughout the house, right?

This little carrier for $1. I will definitely paint this. Yea white or black, lol. See what I mean?

Loved this little candle holder, super cute for winter decor!

And a wreath to make pretty...

And these were also a fave, Carbon Monoxide detectors, they are new and these are SO HIGH and we needed them. And these were only $1.00 each, still have the little baggies with all the screws attached!

And last but not least my fave find for sure!! They had this marked $15 but they took $10. I normally wouldn't want a piece like this but it's perfecttttttt in my office and fits my candles small or big perfectly!! I am super excited about this and have already got a coat of black paint drying, lol.

That's not it, theres more but I am going to show you the rest in another post! I got some Great things from FreeCycle.org. My free coffee table is finished, but the pictures I took were horrible so I promise I will get it posted soon...

First this post is so totally random and talks about 20 different things, so bare with me. So my friend Tracy and I are having a garage sale/craft sale/candle open house on Saturday. Geesh, could I add anything else to that? It was more of a garage sale/craft sale but then with the new fall/holiday products just being released I thought why not and added that in and invited people. So this is what I am preparing for this week, I will have TONS ( hopefully ) of pictures to show you of things I have redone at the end of the week. Seriously. Hopefully. Let's hope this lets to be a productive week. So anyway, Tracy brought over all or some of her stuff tonight, I'm not real sure. Well do you think any of it will make it to the garage sale? NO, I hate myself, ALOT of it will be staying with me. Yep, I am so buying some more junk. But just look at all the cute stuff!

I don't have a girl, nor do I have pink anywhere but I do love these rugs! Maybe I could change out the trim to match my new craft room? These are pretty good size and there are 2.

Probably one of my favorites, this cute cute canvas picture! It's very good size! She said do you think you could redo this? Uh noooo it's cute as it is! Right?

Remember the part about totally random? Well here we go. So today I got a party order I placed with all my new fall pretties and smellies and oh my is it ever fun to open up these boxes full of candles and smell them all!!! Seriously one of my favorite parts about this business. I had 4 boxes of goodies! Though they aren't all mine I did get me a few for my party displays! Pumpkin pie, sugar cookie, Cozy Christmas, Autumn Walk, Caramel Ginger Strudel, sooooo many yummy ones! I started burning a gingerbread house today and Oh my goodness, it's awesome!

The new pretty catalogs!!! Yippeee! Fall, Christmas!!

All kinds of diffusers, and the new emerge candle!!! Eeek!

The new apple dapple drops candles, So cute, right? And of course very yummo smelling!

Ok this little cutie is on clearance on my website www.CandleFlavor.com, I almost didn't order it but I am so glad I did! Now I want another! It is soooo cute!!! It holds a votive and at $3.37 sign me up!

But this, this my lovelies is absolutely my favorite! Again, I almost did not order it but it was clearanced to $11.75 and it is sooooo much cuter in person! I love love love it! It's much bigger than I expected too!

And these, the Candy Cane Christmas Columns!! Love them!!! These go fast every year!! So cute! My husband asked where I got the Dr. Suess candlesticks, funny funny man. Tis why he does not decorating in the home.

And finally, the new sugar cookie diffuser....Sugar Cookie is one of my favorites!!! And now it comes in a diffuser and I love it! I had to use this one for myself!

More random....I never shared these, found them at Goodwill last Saturday and let's just say they got a new look. I was however a bit partial to them as my first sons room was done in this pattern. Awww...


And here is my desk I got for $25 that I never shared!!! Don't you love it!! The top drawers are fake but it opens from the top, sooo cute and will be great black with some distressing! Can't wait to finish it!!!
