Ohhhhhh I LOVEE This....You must see this....

Lindsay @ That's So Cuegly posted this on her blog and this video is so ME! I LOVE it!! It made my day! To Cute! You can also view the video here.

Enjoy!! Thanks Lindsay for the laugh!

A little box makeover...

I love doing little makeovers like this. You can transform just about anything into something you love.

I had this outdated little box...It opens up.

I painted it with a couple of coats of Heirloom White, it's so nice having it in a quart!

And of course I distressed it and then added some pretty paper behind the glass...I really like it. I think little boxes like these would be super cute gifts, you could put some pretty pink paper behind the glass and get some journal cards like here to put inside for a mom to be, then she could journal special moments when her new baby arrives and keep it in the cute little box!

Have a Great Day!

Leave it or Paint it black?

I have this armoire that my mom made out of old doors, I am dyinggggggggg to paint it black. Am I nuts?

I like it like this but everything is black, and I am just not sure what to do.

What do you think? Should I have something other than black in my living room? It will eventually be in the bedroom, which yes there is black too.

My FREE Coffee Table and Makeover...

I am joining in for one last Thrifty Treasures over at Southern Hospitality, Head over and see everyone's last finds of the season!

So last week I was lucky enough to score a few things from freecycle.org, I got this coffee table....

What you don't like it?

Still no?

Any better?

I do! I think it's great for FREE! I love the old look of the boards going across the top. It is not as shiny as the pictures make it seem, however I am a bit disappointed that it does have a little shine to it. I used satin, as I always do, but I used the American Traditions Rustoleum quart of paint I was so excited to find. My excitement is gone. Do you use satin or eggshell? Should I use eggshell? Does it wipe off easy? We have had eggshell walls before and I hated it as it did not clean well, but it could have been flat, I am clueless.

I also scored this sewing machine in perfect condition for FREE, again from freecycle.org. I should start charging them for all the advertising I do for them, haha!

I also got a booster seat in perfect, very clean condition. And next week I am getting a table and chairs. Crazy? Yes.

I don't know what to say, I am horrible at this. I know that my life is not perfect, nowhere near perfect. Seriously not close at all. It's been a long, hard road with lots of ups and tons of downs. There has been times I just want to quit, but I don't and I won't. Rather than looking at what I don't have, I look at what I do have. If we spend our time thinking about what we don't have and whining and complaining and doing nothing about it, we will go nowhere so with all the bad, I remain positive as best I can, I am So Thankful for everything I do have, God,  my husband, my children, my grandparents, all of my family, my home, health, etc. I love to spread a little love and cheer, I don't want to be known as the downer, the whiner, etc. I want people to see and know that no matter what I do or don't have, I am happy, it is what me make it, right? Now with all that said, and this may seem so silly to people. But this blog means so much to me, the people I have met, chatted with, emailed, all of you Awesomes that take the time to read my blog, you have no idea how much it all means to me. Seriously, I am a SAHM and I love it but this gives me a chance to me, a chance to be creative and share it, and who knows where this will lead, how many doors it will open, all the new fabulous people I will and have met. It just truly Amazes me! It gives this sometimes lonely bored mom a little something outside of home to look forward to. Your all truly amazing and Thank You. And Thank You Gwen again for this lovely award!

Here are ten bloggers that make me smile, inspire me, make me try harder, think longer, look better, laugh more often, expand my horizons, feel just plain lucky and always have a great attitude.
  1. Nicole @ The ArmChair HouseWife
  2. Melaine @ My Sweet Savannah
  3. Lindsay @ That's So Cuegly
  4. Manuela @ Pleasures of Homemaking
  5. Sarah @ Thrifty Decor Chick
  6. Kristen @ We are THAT Family
  7. Lisa @ Kssnnikkel
  8. Kara @ Creations by Kara
  9. Marie @ Emma Calls Me Momma
  10. Becky @ Farmgirl Paints

These are all truly amazing blogs, written by amazing people. I highly recommend if you haven't already to go check them out!! And stop over and see Gwen, she is Fabulous!

Thanks Again so much Gwen for this award! I am truly honored you would think of me!

A few Garage sale finds...

Well it's coming to a close of Garage Sale season and this will be the last week for Thrifty Treasures over at Rhodas blog Southern Hospitality. Soooo very sad!!! I will miss it and can't wait for it next year! Go stop over and see everyone's Wonderful finds here.

My Gramma called this morning and told us of a HUGE garage sale, so we dropped everything and got in the car and went, ok not really but we eventually made our way there. It was definitely HUGE. It was sad though, the husbands wife had just passed away and they were selling just about everything so he could get a smaller place. There was soooooo many family members there, I felt so weird walking through the house and picking things out. She passed away not even a week ago and the old man wanted it gone. They were all sooo nice. The woman liked to craft, and she saved everything and had a little of everything. The prices were good too, I made hubby ask if they would take less on something and they did, and We/I've neverrrrrrr done that. They are having it again in 2 weeks and I want to go back. There was tons of stuff in every room.

This cute little fall centerpiece was $2, I think it will look Great with one of my pumpkin candles!

and this...

A large bag of these for $1, these will be fun to use for something or just fill up a cute jar with them.

A 5ft Christmas tree for the yard, I got this for my gramps, He always decorates the front for Christmas. They had TONS of Christmas decorations.

I got this light for our hallway. $1

A few of these frames at .50 a piece.

I don't know what it is, but this is one of my fave finds. It was .50. I love it as is. It's bright yellow, I know but I am getting to where I paint EVERYTHING white or black and need pops of different colors throughout the house, right?

This little carrier for $1. I will definitely paint this. Yea white or black, lol. See what I mean?

Loved this little candle holder, super cute for winter decor!

And a wreath to make pretty...

And these were also a fave, Carbon Monoxide detectors, they are new and these are SO HIGH and we needed them. And these were only $1.00 each, still have the little baggies with all the screws attached!

And last but not least my fave find for sure!! They had this marked $15 but they took $10. I normally wouldn't want a piece like this but it's perfecttttttt in my office and fits my candles small or big perfectly!! I am super excited about this and have already got a coat of black paint drying, lol.

That's not it, theres more but I am going to show you the rest in another post! I got some Great things from FreeCycle.org. My free coffee table is finished, but the pictures I took were horrible so I promise I will get it posted soon...

Don't forget to go enter my giveaway! You could win a super awesome set of lipglosses for yourself or for a stocking stuffer!
