My weekend finds....

I hit up the GoodWill and a garage sale this weekend, spent 20.00 total and this is everything I found....

Love this little cruet? I will put it to good use somewhere lookin pretty...

Loveee this little headboard and at 4.oo wooohoooo! I want to make this into a bench, never done anything like that so we shall see, if that doesn't work I have another great idea for it!

Love this little candlestick that will definately get painted and probably hold something mossy or become a cake stand....

This little mirror was cute for a dollar, will get painted and either used as a mirror somewhere or would make a cute little tray in the bathroom....

Love this, after a coat of spray paint she will be much prettier....

Definately painting this and thinking it may hold my new little soaps I am making for the bathroom...

This was one of my favorite finds, these letters are 2.99 at Hobby Lobby and I got them for .99 and the little one for .50 and they are my initials, Woot Woot! Cute painted or scrapped with pretty paper....

More quilting hoops only these are much larger, Going to use them for something like I showed you here but I have an idea to jazz them up a bit....

Another favorite, a globe for 2.99...Thought about making it a chalkboard globe as you have seen all over blogland but decided against it, going to paint the base and probably put it in my sons room as he loved it...

This little shelf will definately receive a makeover...

Jewelry box, and yes she will get a makeover too....I don't have alot of jewelry so I may use this somewhere else for what I have no clue, but I think I may cover the glass with pretty paper and most likely she will be black....mmmmmhmmmm....
This was not a garage sale or GoodWill find but from another of my fave places to shop, CRAIGSLIST! I got 8 of these little baskets! I paid $20 for all of them, now I think that is cheap, some may not, but to have 8 matching baskets in the same size was perfect for something I am working on and if that doesn't work out these will go great in the craft/crap room. hehe...They also work wonderfully for storing all my candle supplies, love how I threw that in there?

This is totally unrelated but this is what my little guy and hubby got to do today...Baby and I stayed home as it would of been way to loud for the little guy. We live very close to the airport so I was still able to see some of it from my porch. This weekend was the air show, they do it every year and they have sooooo much to do their, this was the Blue Angels performing, sooooo coool!

Them again....

And they had monster truck rides which my little one lovedddd ( he is in the orange, the one desperately needing a haircut )....They have free airplane rides, helicopter rides, WWII displays, they have a huge thing set up where you can go in and see all about the army and what they do, etc. There is yummy food, souvenirs of course, They have a big van set up with playstations on the outside for everyone to play some kind of plane related games, lol. Inflatables, tons of stuff, 5 hours later and my little one is still yappin about it and just told me he wants an airplane room, love that he enjoyed it so much.

And this one had to share, pretty picture of our Beautiful flag...

That's it! Come back this week and see what I do with all my goodies, I am soooo behind on projects as I have been movin and organizing my craft room, fun fun. Still working on my baby blocks, burlap decorative soaps, and now many others.

Now go over and check out Rhodas Thrifty Treasures Party at Southern Hospitality! Make sure and look at everyones wonderful goodies they found and leave lots of comments telling them! It's always fun to see everyones goodies and what they do with them.

Have a Great Week!

Hi Nicole! Great finds! We seem to have the same taste, in fact, I bought a globe this weekend too, and it looks like they're made by the same company. Check it out if you get a chance.

Wow, you had a great shopping weekend Nicole! Spraypaint is my new best friend, and I look at everything differently now, because I know I can make anything fit my decor with a shot of paint! I think you got a great deal on those baskets. I have two, and wish I had more, but they're VERY expensive new. Love that headboard too. I've been looking for one to put in my garden!

Hiya!! I loooove those big quilting hoops! I have a grouping of the ones like you showed in the earlier post in my craftroom...none are as big as those, though. Great find! Can't wait to see what you do with them!

Wow, you got a lot of stuff for your $ 20.00, don't you love GW...this is my first year shopping there and I had no idea of the kind of stuff you could find there.

The jewelry box you could use to store your little craft supplies in, esspecially if you work with buttons or beads.

Have a great week.

Hey Nicole! You found some great stuff! And, we must live in the same-ish neck of the woods. Been around here about 6 years and we've never made it out to one of the shows, but I've heard it is something to see! Thanks for stopping by! :)

HAHA! I take that back Nicole. . . I saw on your profile you're in IL ~ not even remotely close to the same-ish neck of the woods! The Blue Angels were here on Saturday for their big air show. I guess they go other places too, duh. :)

Oh man - you totally racked up - you had so much stuff I don't know where to start so I'll just say - I can't wait to see all.of.it - and soon. How's that for ya?

And the Blue Angels - I would have been sobbing like a big baby - just the flyovers at football games make me cry - and you get to see them from your front porch!!

Happy Monday to you -

Hi Nicole, Looks like you found some great finds too. Can’t wait to see how the bench turns out. I‘ve seen a few of those around “blog world” and they always turn out soooo cute. I was telling my finacee last night about the project and now have the “ok” to make one. I just need to find the perfect head board. Thanks for stopping by Domestic Princess in Training!

I'm impressed with how much you got for $20. I think the GW in my neighborhood is a little overpriced... a lot of times I'll find items marked at more than they get sold for in the stores (Target dollar items for $2?). Great finds!
