Finished Baby Blocks and Clock....

I have been working on some baby blocks today. I have made these alot before but have never actually made a whole set yet and that's what I am working on. These are so fun to make!!! So many possibilities for them! I found the tutorial for these last year on Martha Stewart and had to make some! I tweaked it to my liking a bit. That is actually how I began crafting, blocks were the very first thing I made, It started last december I wanted some cute blocks for my little guys room and he was then about a month old so I bought some small blocks and started playing...

Beforeeee....

And after....

These are so much fun to make and make lovely gifts! You could make them to match your home decor, they look great on a mantle, in a nursery, kids rooms, anywhere! The blocks are high and small at the craft stores so I buy a 4x4 and have my husband cut it into 4 inch blocks, it costs about $6 for one and it cuts me about 20 blocks!! So that is freakin awesome!

I always coat the outside with modge podge and haven't done so with these yet as I ran out :( Running out of modge podge in my house is about like running out of water!!! Seriously, not good.

Aren't they cute? I am tweaking them a bit as I am unsure how I feel about the edges. Gotta get them just right!

I have soooooo many neat papers I can't wait to play with on these! I want to get some made and try them out in my etsy shop, we shall see.

Remember my clock? Here he is now, I planned on painting it white but it popped so much more with the black so I repainted it again. I have a couple other things planned for it as well.

Oh and check out this HUGE jar I found! What would you do with it? I am thinking of filling it with big green pears or limes. It is missing the lid, but for $2 I thought it was cool! It is seriously GIGANTIC!

Oh you like the pretty toile letter? It's a paper mache one, I bought a bunch about a month ago when Michaels clearanced them for .99! They are so neat papered or just painted and distressed!
