DIY Thursday, Spray paint is amaaaazing....

It's DIY Thursday over at Kimbas from a Soft Place to Land!! Go Check out all the wonderful projects, but warning it will add many things to your projects list as they are all wonderfully talented and creative!!

I am getting nothing done this week, still workin on my room. Very slowly...But I did finish a few very small things...

Now some of you liked my moss letter, some of you probably didn't ( tracy, haha : ), but I love it and am now newly obsessed with moss, moss letters, moss balls, what's next moss covered furniture? Next week, I shall show you how to revamp that old fridge with a bag of moss and a glue gun, haha! Kidding, seriously. Maybe. After my moss creations, I had to pull up some online shops and show hubby that these really do exist and just how much those buying them pay for these, geesh, they are high! Anyway, I made a hanging moss ball, here she is...

And another moss ball, sittin on my candlestick, Blame Kara over at Creations by Kara, she started it, lol. I blame her for my new addiction to moss. Seriously go check hers out, she will even tell you how to make your own. I made this one out of a chewed up dog ball, had a huge hole in it, the one above is a grapevine ball I got at Michaels for .29 that was ugggglyyy, it was wrapped in gold wire and gold beads. Pretty, now. Just gotta find a place for it now.

Basket before, then after a can of spray paint. I liked it as it was, but have had these foreverrrr and wanted something different, so she is painted now and the other will be too, soon. Not the best paint job, but hey.

Remember this ugly gold candlestick from Goodwill for 1.00?

She's much prettier now...Love her...Alot.

Remember this?

Here she is now after some glossy black spray paint. Now I never paint anything glossy but had some black gloss paint and LOVE this with the glossy finish. Oh and none of that is going in it, seriously I know, just threw something in it for a picture, was in a hurry.

What do you think of my new chairs? Pretty huh? Nooooo...Have you ever used freecycle? Ohhh it's awesome...People post things in your town they want to give away, you respond and go get them, well I got a set of 4 of these for FREE. Not the best chairs but they were FREE and I now have 4 matching chairs for my table. Before I had 3 mismatched. Of course I recovered them so keep scrolling...

Afterrrrrr....Now I know this isn't perfect or all that Great, But I am very happy with them. The fabric was my old waverly shower curtain :( which was so very hard to cut up but it was old, used and I am no longer using it in the bathroom so I thought why not, so I cut it up and stapled it on to my chairs. The seat isn't screwed back on yet hence why it may look a little funny. Whatcha think? Pretty nice for free? Right? Just nod yes.

Nope, didn't make this, but I found these, in a box of my stuff that was packed up, isn't it cute? I have 2 matching, not sure what to do or where to put them yet.

And don't you love this stuff? Ahhhh I do, and it's sooo cheap! I will show you next week what I am making with this pretty stuff....

I love love love thissssss....Michaels has these clearance for 2.99, I love Robins Egg Blue, this is the color I want to paint my craft room. I think this will be used for a topiary..

Love these too, little sugar cookie chipboards with cute little bunnies on them. Marked down to 1.49 and how cute are those little flowers? Michaels has quite a bit of clearance right now, if you need letters, they have 9.5 inch MDF letters for .99 and 8 inch paper mache for 1.49. Bought a bunch. Ok so the last few pictures were totally unrelated to DIY but thought I would share...

Now go check out everyone elses DIY projects and be inspired!

I won't get anything done the today and tomorrow as my twin sisters are coming!!!!! We are taking my kiddos to the zoo on Friday, so before they get here I must spend the day cleaning...

Aren't they hideous? They were totally blessed with beauty, still trying to figure out what I got, lol.

Love them! They are 19 and to busy for me nowadays so when they come visit, I get excited! They are only an hour away but with college, work, and boys that doesn't leave much time for dear ole sis...

Soooo prettyy....Sorry got carried away with the pics, couldn't pick just one!
Have a WONDERFUL Day!!!

Love your new candlestick! I just picked up several ugly gold ones at the Goodwill and have been trying to figure what to do with them. I've never used spray paint, so I'll have to give it a try!

I love the candle holder with the bird's nest, so cute! I have way too many candles right now, but you have some beautiful ones. I'll have to mark your site to keep in mind for gifts.

Awesome makeovers, and I'm glad I'm not the only who has had to convice my hubby that what I've created really is a cool decorator item. If they only knew the money we're saving them!

Thanks for stopping by-have fun with your sisters.

Love the blue candlestick! I'm going to have to go find me an ugly one at GW to transform for myself!

Your sisters are so cute! :)

I really like the candlestick transformation. Genius idea to use your toile shower curtain to cover your free (!!) chairs. Nice!

Great makeovers! Love the moss ball (there has GOT to be a more elegant name for it--it looks so much prettier than it sounds!) and the nest candlestick! Thanks for stopping by my blog to say hello.

Loving ALL of it!
Where do you get Moss balls? Did you buy them or make them yourself? I found stuff to make them, but was wondering...before I bought the stuff.
Loving your blog!
