New paint color! And I need your help!!!!!

What do you think of that color? We are getting ready to paint our kitchen, cabinets and all. I will spare you the hideousness and hold out on the before pictures til it's finished. We have one of those pretty little hallway kitchens, you know what I am talking about right? Seriously. I hate out kitchen. But it's mine and I have to live with it so I am hoping some paint color and making it my own will help a little. It is SO SMALL. We have no cabinet space at all, none. Our fridge is gigantic, our stove is itty bitty and green. I believe it's an apartment size. Though we won't be updating the appliances just yet we will be updating everything else. Out cabinets were put it in about 2 years ago but they are ugly wood color and fake, no hardware. I do like our countertops though. They aren't bad. We are painting the cabinets black, I know gasp ( my gramma probably just fell out of her chair, sorry grams ). I just told you my kitchen is itty bitty and I know your thinking black? In a little kitchen? But we do get pretty good lighting in there as we have a big ugly window over the sink and 2 more littler windows in there. I like the look of the white cabinets but it's just not for me, I cannot imagine having white cabinets with 3 boys in the house. No way. So I am wanting that green on the top of the walls, and white on the bottom with black cabinets? Can I do that? Have the bottoms of my walls white with black cabinets? I need help, I am HORRIBLE with paint colors, hence the completely red living room and dining room. In the kitchen we have the chair rail? but there isn't much of it and we were going to paint the bottom of it white and the top the green. Oh heck here is a small picture of what I am talking about....

Seriously I cannot believe that I am showing you these pictures. Am I the only one that has a list of a million of the simplest little things that needs to be done? Like replacing that awful disgusting mini blind for example. I am trying to knock out all the little things around here, we need to paint all the trim, yep we skipped that part when we painted the walls. The new wall we added still needs trim, lots of blinds need replacing, there is just so many easy little fixes that I am determined to cross off my list in the next couple of weeks. Oh and about the green stove you are all drooling over. I know you are all wondering where can I get a beauty like that? I promise when we get new, I will let you all know and you can fight over it. Seriously it's a beauty.

These are the cabinets I told you about. And really this is about it for our cabinet space. We have 2 more one above the stove and one above the fridge that you need a ladder to get to, so needless to say they don't get used. I have no room in here to add any storage so I am working on a solution for that. Any ideas? You are all brilliant, help me out.

I made hubby hang that shelf above my little cabinet in the dining room, and I hate it. I don't know how to decorate it. I kind of like what's on the shelf but I need help with decorating the cabinet. Any ideas? I think it looks junky as is. Should I take the shelf off the wall and hang a picture or mirror or something else? What do you all think?

Ok enough with the kitchen issues. Menards has these bags of 50 clothespins for .99 cents and I can't wait to show you what I am doing with them! Nothing seriously spectacular but cool!

Ohhhh and I stocked up on some much needed spray paint! 2 cans of heirloom white, 1 glossy black, and 1 cinnamon color for some fall projects!

Target has all these cute little letters marked down to like .48 cents, These will be cute for some monogram projects.

These were in the dollar section which was loaded with half off items. Half off a dollar, I will take it! haha! These are nice big magnet letters, These will be great for something!

And letter stickers for 1.00, can never have to many of these!

These little water squirters were clearanced for .24 cents, I bought about a dozen as I think they are great for goody bags for my sons upcoming birthday. Something to fill them up with.

These cute sprite tins will be great redone and hello they were half off too and only .50 cents.

Well are you still reading? Did I bore you? Would love to hear your feedback on my kitchen colors and cabinet setup! I need all the help I can get! Over the next few weeks I will be showing you my living room, craft room ( eek! ), dining room and other rooms. Have a Wonderful Tuesday!

Thrifty timeeee!!!!!!

It's thrifty time! Head on over to Rhodas at Southern Hospitality and check out everyones finds for the week!!! It's so much fun seeing everyones goodies for the week, but it always adds to my list of wants and things to make, lol.

I feel like I haven't posted in forever, I hate it but I have been so busy getting the little guy ready for school, cleaning and getting ready for company coming ( my dad ) tomorrow. He will be here til Thursday afternoon, So I will probably be MIA most of this week. I will try and get something up while he is here. No garage sales for me this week, remember my big sale I was waiting for this week that I told you about last week? Uh yea it was last week. I totally missed it. I seriously wanted to cry. Oh well. I went to GoodWill instead, not to great of a week but still found a few goodies to play with.

But before I get to my Goodwill finds, Let me share my Kmart trip. It's double time ( up to 2.00 coupons get doubled ) and double time is AWESOME! I love saving money and getting freebies! I got all 5 cans of the bumblebee tuna for $1.00 total, the 24 rolls of charmin was $5.00, 4 boxes of cereal ( only 2 shown ) for $3.00 ( which they overcharged me and I have to go in and get a refund but going back for more doubles anyway ), The aveeno baby wash was .79 cents each ( Awesome! ), the sharpie highlighters .19 cents, scrubbing bubbles toilet gel cleaner FREE, Softsoap FREE, and the diapers were from krogers and 3.00, I like huggies but for 3.00 hey, I'll take it! I also hit up CVS and they have the rinse agent kids mouthwash on clearance for 1.47, scope .75 cents, kids light up toothbrushes 2 for 1.00, I got 2 packs of huggies for 5.50 each ( got $4 in extracare bucks back on them ), I got a tooth whitening system for 2.47 on clearance, I got 4 12 packs of pepsi for 8.00 plus $4 in extracare bucks!

I liked the glass on this? Not real sure why I got it, but I did, eh.

Hanging basket for 1.00

The milk glass lamp was 2 something, the wood will get painted black, I think it will go nicely with the other one I found and showed you a couple of weeks ago. The little candle thingy for 1.00, and the pan thingy?

I got this big jar at Marshalls on clearance for 7.50, it's nice and big. The oranges were on clearance for 2.48 at Target and uh yea I need more. I also found moss rocks on clearance there for a box for 3.98. I also got a great set of sheets, nothing fancy at all, 19.99 for a set of king size and they are the jerzee kind and yes that is my favorite. I have the fancy kazillion thread count, though I am sure if I had tried them I would be in love. They also had some toys on clearance, pretty picked over but I found a few things super cheap to put back for Christmas, my son was with us and saw them though, bummer. So we probably won't make it til Christmas, by then they will be at the bottom of the toy box :( I got a few others crafty things from the target dollar section that was half off that I will show you later, can't wait!

This is my favorite! I love love love this big chunky thing, 1.00

Not the greatest looking keys but I will find something to do with them.

This is my second thingy like this, I wasn't sure why I bought it but if anything they will be great in the craft room for holding little things.

Some older Thrifty finds...

It's thrifty treasure time over at Rhodas! Make sure and check out everyones goodies for the week! I stayed away from thrifting this weekend as my project list is already a 100 miles long! It was hard let me tell you, there was SO MANY sales this weekend and I am sure GoodWill has sent out a missing persons report for me. But next weekend, I think it's next weekend is my favorite sale of the year! A huge community sale on Springfield Road, everyone does them and there are 100s! We went last year and it was fun, it's nice when you can just park and walk to several rather than gettin in and out especially when luggin the kiddos along. However I think I would like to leave them with Gramma ( *wink *wink gramma ) and just hubby and I go, plus that frees up lots of car space, hehe! I can't remember the last time I did not have both of the littles, I believe it was December and Gabriel was almost a month old and we HAD to go to my husbands Christmas Party for work and were gone a few hours. Maybe we can hit up a movie too after some yard saling ( *wink*wink gramma ). Anywho enough begging for a sitter, here is some old finds I never shared. Kind of boring, sorry my lovelies. I promise some exciting ones next week!

I don't know why but I have always wanted one of these, sorry for the horrible pics but it's shoved in a corner of my craft room right now that I seriously cannot get to, workin on that today. It's got 5 bins with chicken wire on the front. Now I have no idea what to do with it. I am thinking of painting it and putting it in an odd little spot in my bathroom and putting pretty towels and stuff in it. I was also thinking about getting rid of the chicken wire and putting pretty scrapbook paper in it or plexglass or something, no idea yet...Or it makes lovely storage in the craft room. This was a craigslist find btw.

This I found on target in the clearance for $6 I believe, it's HUGE. Tall, heavy, and pretty I think. I honestly thought about spraying it white and leaving the lid as is but it's a different color and I could use different. What do you think?

These I found a couple months ago at Kohls in the clearance for $5, cute little stacking bowls I thought would be fun for soup or ice cream in the winter. The little guy liked them.

An old goodwill find, an urn for $1, cute.

These were in a box of freecycle junk, there was tons of little old bottles which most I will probably pitch but I thought this would be cute white? and it has a little matching saucer too. Eh.

Another one out of the freecycle box...Again not to exciting but free so hey.

Ok, who wants to tell me what this thing is? I have no idea but it was in the box as well. Hmmm....

Wasn't that fun? Exciting, right? Can't wait to see all your finds for the week!! Can you tell I have been playing with the pictures on picnik.com? It's addicting and fun! Stay tuned, I have some really fun things to show you this week! I am making my own decorative pears, and some pretty decor things for fall!! Fallllllll!!!!!!! I cannot wait!!!! Winterrrrr! Woohoo!

Just doing a little browsing around online and thought I would share a few of my favorites. All of these images are from Through the Country Door, I love love love their things! Enjoy my Lovelies!

I need this. I want a dressform badly. I think this one is pretty cute.

Of course we all love these. I have to have a set of these. They are so pretty.

Ohhhhh and this is one of my favorites! I don't really entertain but I would with this! I have always love these drink dispensers! They are so pretty filled with lemonade and slices of lemon! Love them!

This is super neat! Anything with little drawers and cubbies is on my list!

Ok so everything so far I need, including this clock! I LOVE it!

This is definately at the top of my list! How could a big beautiful red basket like this not be? I Love this So Much!

Oh and how cute is this vintage patio furniture? And red too! I love it!

I need some pretty new canisters and these would definately work! Love the white and black!

And check out this breadbox! Isn't it amazing??? Love the green and black!

Ok and definately the pears! Until December they are offering the pears at an introductory price of $9.99 for 14! I think that is a Great deal myself! I just may have to have some! I am in the process of making my own though, can't wait to show you!!!

Clicking the pictures will take you to the website!! You can also sign up here to receive their catalogs in the mail! Now hubby must go get 2 more jobs so I can go there and shop! hehe! I didn't make it thrifting this weekend, I am trying to avoid GoodWill and the Garage Sales and finish the millions I have going right now! Gwen over at Murphy Grace Home is trying to do the same and has inspired me to finish all my unfinished! Thanks Gwen!!

But stay tuned as I am working on some fall goodies ( <---Seriously makes me giddy ), including some grubby pumpkins and wall art! Plus my homemade decorative pears!!! Can't wait!!!
